Prashant Kumar’s journey started in 2009 when he realized that simply serving the community with passion was not enough. After two years of relentless hard work and tireless efforts, Savera couldn’t even generate enough funds to afford a website. Dismayed by the lack of results, Prashant decided that he was going to learn how to build a website himself, and master every aspect of digital marketing that would be required to fund a non-profit. Thus started a long and arduous journey that included two years of full-time studying and several years of ad agency experience working for some of the biggest brands in the world, leading him to becoming the digital marketer for Tata Consumer products Ltd. working for one of the biggest conglomerates in the world.

But in spite of the fancy title and the hefty pay, it didn’t give him the satisfaction he had felt when working for Savera. He decided to quit his job, move to London and start Digital For Humanity CIC, a Community Interest Company founded to help other Community Interest Companies and Charities with their digital marketing and technology initiatives.

“I don’t want any other non-profit in the world to face the same issues that Savera did.” He says.

Digital For Humanity CIC provides free training to all charities, social enterprises, CICs,, and social entrepreneurs in the world. Our goal is to make every social enterprise in the world aware of the technologies available to them so that they are able to utilize them to their full potential. Digital For Humanity CIC exists to amplify the goodness of all social enterprises in the world, helping them reach their goals, and thus make the world a better place for all of us.
